Great builders are great listeners.
Angelo's Corner, February 2018 : Focus on Housing Supply
Central Ohio has seen our supply of homes for sale dwindle to 3,410. That is a pizza with 5 slices, and 1 of the slices got eaten since this time last year. I work for one of the best custom homebuilders in Ohio; trust me, there aren't that many more pizzas in the oven. We pizza chefs can ramp up in the kitchen, sure; but if I have learned anything from Craig about about building homes here is that it takes time. And eat at Rubino's in Bexley.
What does this mean for our community and our clients? We beleive it is one significant structural weight pulling on the volatility of our housing market. Think flat crust when it comes to prices of new AND old homes in our region. Hopefully less and fewer big swings up and down. Protected from the next downswing. We think this is great news for Columbus and our neighbors in Central Ohio.
Is your home's value going up? If its footings are buried in the alluvial plains of the greater Scioto, it is one of only 5-week's supply* of homes for sale in Central Ohio. pace and the 84th consecutive month of year over year declines in inventory, according to the Columbus REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service.
“Just when you think the number of homes for sale couldn’t possibly go any lower – it does." Said Sara Walsh, 2018 President of The Columbus Board of Realtors. “Home sales would be even higher if we had more homes listed for sale.”
